Purpose: This curriculum is designed for students who plan to transfer to a four-year institution to complete a baccalaureate degree in a business-related field.

Admission Requirements: Applicants must meet the requirements for admission to credit-level coursework established by the college.

Placement Requirements: Students who do not demonstrate readiness for college-level English will be required to select appropriate EDE 10  or ENG 111 /EDE 11*  coursework in consultation with an advisor.

Students who do not demonstrate readiness for college-level math will be required to select appropriate MDE coursework in consultation with an advisor.

Program Notes: This program is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs  This program can be completed online.

Students who intend to transfer should verify specific program requirements with their four-year institution.

Total Minimum Credits for Degree: 60


1 A grade of “C” or better is required before enrolling in MTH 261*  and BUS 224*  

2 Business Elective  should be selected with advice of a faculty or program advisor to meet the requirements of the transfer institution. 

3 Humanities/Fine Arts Elective  should be selected with the advice of a faculty or program advisor to meet the requirements of the transfer institution. Students must choose courses from two of the three areas (Humanities, Arts or Literature). Students intending to transfer to University of Virginia should take any 100 or 200 level language course as a Humanities elective. The 200 level course prerequisite requires completion of 100 level classes or two years of a high school foreign language with at least a grade of “B”.

4 Students intending to transfer to Virginia Tech should complete MTH 262*  as a business elective. Successful completion of MTH 261*  with a grade of “C” or better is required before enrolling in MTH 262* .
