Purpose: This curriculum is designed to provide students with a wide range of IT, project management, and business knowledge as well as concentrated skills in networking, security, and Cisco applications. These skills are applicable for entry level employment in all sized IT companies. May sit for the CompTIA A+, CompTIA Security+, the Cisco™ CCNA™, and the CompTIA Linux+ Certifications.
Program Objectives: Employment opportunities include entry-level positions in fields including Network Security Administration, System Administration, Network Technician, Desktop Support Technician, and Security Analyst.
Admission Requirements: Applicants must meet the requirements for admission to credit-level coursework established by the college.
Placement Requirements: Students who do not demonstrate readiness for college-level English will be required to select appropriate EDE 10 or ENG 111 /EDE 11* coursework in consultation with an advisor.
Students who do not demonstrate readiness for the college-level math will be required to select appropriate MDE coursework in consultation with an advisor.
