Purpose: This Career Studies Certificate provides hands - on practice in computer aided design and drafting. The courses in the CSC are part of the Mechatronics Systems Engineering Technology Associate Degrees.
Program Objectives: Entry-level or advanced opportunities in mechanical design, automated manufacturing, architecture, engineering and computer-aided industrial sites. Positions include drafter, CAD technician, detailer or designer. Other job titles may include CAD, engineering, or industrial technician.
Admission Requirements: Applicants must meet the requirements for admission to credit-level coursework established by the college.
Developmental Requirements: Students who do not place into college-level English will be required to take developmental courses.
Students who do not demonstrate proficiency in MTE 1 , MTE 2 , MTE 3 , MTE 4 , MTE 5 and MTE 6 will be required to take developmental courses.
It is strongly recommended that developmental education requirements be completed as soon as possible.
