IT: Cyber Security Career Studies Certificate

Career Studies Certificate

Purpose: This curriculum is designed to give students the knowledge and skills needed to secure servers and Cisco networks.  Topics include how to develop a security infrastructure, recognize threats and vulnerabilities to networks and servers, and to mitigate security threats.  Upon successful completion of the program, students will be eligible to sit for the Cisco CCENT and Cisco CCNA Security certifications. The Cisco CCNA Security Certification meet the National Security Agency (NSA) CNSS 4011 training standard.

Program Objectives: Employment opportunities include entry-level positions as a Network Analyst, Security Analyst, or a Security Architect. 

Admission Requirements: Applicants must meet the requirements for admission to credit-level coursework established by the college. Students are waived from placement testing in this program.
