Prerequisite(s): BIO 141* , BIO 142* , SDV 101 ; CPR American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Health Care Providers; Acceptance to the Dental Hygiene, A.A.S. Program; Evidence of completion of Dental Hygiene, A.A.S. Program required documents.

Description: Studies the various medical emergencies and techniques for managing emergencies in the dental setting. Additional practical applications and simulations of emergencies may be conducted to enhance basic knowledge from the one hour lecture component. Lecture 2 hours per week.
